something new

昔は情報がないから、子供は周囲の大人のいうことを“大人が言っている”という理由でもって自動的に正しいことだと思っていた。周囲の大人のレベルを判定するための情報がなかったからだ。子供からみると周囲の大人たちは、“どんな大人であれ”世の中がわかっている人、に見えていた。

でも、マスコミもネットも含め、今は子供にも世界の情報が直接的に大量に手にいれられるようになった。だから、中学校や高校でそういう情報に触れた子達が、自分で判断するようになっている。「僕の周りの大人の人たちが言ってることって、どうなのかな・・」と気が付くようになっている。

ある程度正しい。
が、たとえばネット上の情報があろうがなかろうが、つまり「昔」でさえ賢い子供は大人のまやかしに疑念を抱いていた。今は疑念が確信に変わるまでがハイウェイってことだろう。
この「大人の言っていることは間違っている気がするけど、確信がない」って状態が心の成長期に長く居座ってしまうと(つまり確信に至るまでが鈍行だと)、あまり健全でない面を抱えたまま大人になってしまうんじゃないか。「昔」はそんな人が今より多かったのかも、と思った。
